Worsor Bay and Back

On Sunday, Sara Morgan and I headed around to Worsor Bay and back as a nice southerly rolled in.  The conditions were magic; the southerly rolled in just as we were rigging the boat up, and then it gradually built to about 20 knots.

We had a fun ride back from Worsor Bay with the kite up, averaging about 16 knots.  A short chop was building so it was a little bumpy, and we had to be careful not to go mining.

Peak Speed 18.1 knots, calculated apparent wind of 11 knots

The gps was with a Velocitek, and the software it comes with, it seems date’d but it works.  I’d be keen to hear what other software other people use?  What do you use?

Sending in Evan’s Bay

Alastair and I headed out that other night.  Second time on the helm in a good breeze for Alastair, which he did more than alright given it was pretty puffy as the northerly had quite a westerly component to it which makes the wind roll over Mt Victoria a bit.
